Effra Font typeface is humanist, multi-weight and multi-width Sans Serif. Effra has a rich design history and can be traced back to one of the first sans serif typeface designs but Effra is a very much a typographic family of today, with clean lines, open counters and a contemporary vision.
The typeface was named Effra after the river which flows through Brixton – the area of London where Dalton Maag is located The Effra typeface was inspired by Caslon Junior, one of the earliest sans serif fonts, but it underwent a thorough redesign and optimization for modern use. The design of Effra makes it have a clear identity that uses the design history that it borrows while also being very much a product of the digital era – a factor that saw it being awarded the Red Dot Design Award.
