Public Sans Font

Public Sans Font

Public Sans Font is a free typeface inspired by Libre Franklin. While its similarities with Libre Franklincan be seen, its specifics make the effect unique enough. It comes with 18 fonts from Thin through Black with matching Italics to outfit its versatile character set.

Public Sans differs from Libre Franklin by emphasizing longform reading and neutral UI applications. It draws in part from the uniformed sanscon faces of the 20th century, and in part from the original Franklins of 19th century, to create an unassuming yet distinctive American face.

Public Sans is designed as a progressive webfont to be implemented in concert with Apple and Google system fonts, to form the basis of font stacks. It also works beautifully alone on the web or in print!
