Palatino Font

Palatino Font

Palatino Font is the proper name of a classical old face serif type of font designed by Hermann Zapf and initially produced by the Linotype company back in 1948. Giambattista Palatino was a famous Italian artist and the master of calligraphy in the 16th century. This font is derived with the help of humanist fonts from the Italian Renaissance period, reflecting the behavior of a wide nib pen.

Palatino lends a graceful elegance to calligraphy. Originally, Palatino was designed to be used as a heading font but soon became popular as the body text font, relegating Aldus Zapf’s suggestions for meeting this need.
