Boogaloo Font was initiated in 2010 as a follow-up to the Salsa typeface while considering the type used in Latin American music and their culture.
The outlines of Boogaloo are in the letters of the traditional American lettering, so common in covers of LP records from the 1960s, the year in which Latin music became very popular and prior to the emergence of the salsa musical movement.
