Playfair Display Font style furniture is typically elegant yet transitional in its design and style. First popularized during Europe’s Enlightenment in the late 18th century, wide nib quills were gradually phased out for metal pointed pens which became the standard production tool at that time. Modern printing technology enabled more distinct letters with higher contrast and softer hairlines that stood out more from what had previously been written on paper.

This exhibit layout fits in well with this period and though not a replica of any particular design from John Baskerville or Scotch Roman, its influence will still be felt today. As it currently exists in a transitional style layout it can easily pair up with Ga for system text display purposes.
