Blacker Pro Font is an updated and expanded version of Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and Andrea Tartarelli’s 2017 Family of Wedge Serifs Blacker was designed as a variation on what Jeremiah Shoaf has defined as the “evil serif” style: regardless of whether the typefaces contain high contrast, modern or oldstyle serif proportions, or sharp triangular serifs resembling blades. Because of its super-bold contrast design, Blacker can be seen as having some similarities with didone typefaces. Blacker was developed utilizing two subfamilies of optical design.
The display version has more precise tracking, higher contrast, and sharper corners to deliver the best results when used at large sizes; text versions have higher readability, screen rendering at tiny sizes, lower contrast, and looser lettering compared to display fonts.
