Wells Fargo Font Bank Holding was named after its co-founders Henry Wells and William Fargo. These men established the foundation of Wells Fargo with the founding of an financial and postal company in 1852; later merging with Norwest at that time in 1998. Wells Fargo became one of the “parent” organizations for numerous modern services; setting up ATMs at supermarkets and stores, developing standard customer service models, pioneering internet banking in America which allowed cardholders to remotely monitor progress of accounts etc.
“Claredon” is the font used in the Wells Fargo logo and it resembles Clarendon which is an English slab-serif font designed by Robert Besley in 1845.
